Please take notice and be advised, the National High Winds Advisory has been extended; therefore, due to extreme weather conditions, all City owned buildings are CLOSED, Tuesday, January 4,  2022. The Menard Sports Complex will remain closed until further notice.

The Mat-Su Borough has issued a shelter in place directive. For those affected by the wind across the Mat-Su, Shelters are being provided by the Red Cross at the following locations:

-The Curtis D. Menard Sports Center at 1001 S Clapp St, Wasilla, AK 99654

The Shelter in Palmer at Mat-Su Senior Services is closing tonight at 8 p.m.

Another shelter is opening in it's place at 8p.m. at Palmer Junior Middle School. *

The shelter in Wasilla at the Curtis Menard Sport Center remains open.
