The Planning Department's main function is to develop and implement the City's current and long range plans and Wasilla Municipal Code Title 16, known as the Wasilla Land Development Code. Other functions include structuring the City's Capital Improvement Program, the 2011 Comprehensive Plan, annexation of additional properties into city limits, providing staff support to the Planning Commission, and serving as a public resource.
