The City of Wasilla intends to expand Apron E at the Wasilla Airport. The project outcome will be a paved general aviation parking apron with 27 tie-down spaces, headbolt heater outlets, and apron lighting. Excess excavated soil from the site will be used to level the area around the apron and to fill west of the runway in
anticipation of a future runway extension.

The project will be funded by an FAA grant and local sources. Construction is to
begin as soon as October 2023 and will be complete by October 2024.
