Know what you drink. . .

The City of Wasilla provides drinking water through its water utility that consists of three primary groundwater wells and four 1-million gallon above ground steel reservoirs. Water service is provided through approximately 1,100 service connections to residents, schools, and businesses meeting peak flows up to one million gallons per day.

Fire flow is available directly to buildings or through approximately 400 fire hydrants within the service area. The water is treated with chlorine to maintain minimal residual levels in the distribution system. No other chemicals are added to the water. Metered water service is provided at a rate of $9.12 per thousand (1,000) gallons, subject to a monthly minimum of $45.57 plus city sales tax.

We are pleased to announce that the City of Wasilla was recognized by the Alaska Rural Water Association (ARWA) at the 13th Annual ARWA Conference to have the best tasting water in Alaska.
